Now that NYC Fashion Week has finally come to a close, we finally have a to recap the runways!
Stylists Creighton Bowman and Matthew Monzon of Exclusive Artists Management used René Furterer products to create 60s-inspired long, straight hair with heavy, eyebrow-grazing bangs. It was a perfect pairing with a vivid collection featuring graphics, polka dots (even the manis, created by celeb manicurist Deborah Lippman, had polka dots!) and dreamy watercolors created by Kate Spade New York Creative Director Deborah Lloyd. And, TV personality Brad Goreski was on hand to style the show.
“We were going for a very strong, graphic look with thick, blunt-cut fringe” Creighton told us. “The idea was to create a pristine mannequin effect–it’s a sexy, whimsical look for the girl who wants to stand out at the party.” At the presentation, models actually posed as mannequins on striped hat-box-like pillars. “Along with giving the hair polish and looking very graphic and clean, we also wanted the finished quality to be shiny and healthy,” said Matthew.
