Did you catch the MTV movie awards the other night? Elizabeth Banks nabbed the award for Best On-Screen Transformation for her role as Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games…& long gone were her character’s crazy-cool colorful wigs! Instead, she sported THE look of the season, created by Jenny Cho, Suave Professionals Celebrity Stylist, and inspired by her sexy jumpsuit.
“I wanted to give her a young and cool hairstyle while keeping it pulled together. I created this chic high knot in order to show off her fierce jumpsuit,” says Cho. Here, her tips on how to recreate the look:
1. Apply Suave Professionals Keratin infusion Leave-In Conditioner to towel-dried hair and layer on Suave Professionals Keratin infusion Smooth & Shine Serum. Blow dry using fingers, creating a little bit of tension to smooth, add shine and protect hair from the heat.
2. Pull back hair to the crown area, using a mix bristle brush to smooth as you go, and create a high ponytail. Secure with an elastic.
3. Split hair into two sections and tie a knot. Be sure to leave the ends free but tuck some under the knot; securing with U-shaped pins and bobby pins so it doesn’t look too perfect.
