No doubt about it—retro hairstyles are making a huge comeback. (Thank you, Betty Draper.) From pageboys to done-up volume to Veronica Lake-like finger waves, decade-inspired looks each exude their own version of lady-like elegance. So there is no wonder why many brides these days are opting to go retro down the aisle.
We headed down to the NYC-based DeBerardinis Salon, where stylists shared their personal takes on 1960’s-inspired wedding hair. Here was one of our favorites: This blushing bride (or model, rather) wore her long red hair in a low ponytail with tons and tons of crown volume. While a few wispy pieces escaped in the front for an ethereal feel, the pony was adorned with a large flower accent and veil. Gorgeous!
