From Queen Bee to bride, Blair Waldorf’s always the belle of the ball!

Spotted: Killer hair at the Blair’s BIG wedding on Gossip Girl.

Blair’s Fairy-Tale Inspired Bridal Look:

“I looked at a lot of fairy tale characters and images from Lord of the Rings to create this modern bridal look for Blair Waldorf,” states Lizzie Reilly, personal hairstylist to Leighton Meister on Gossip Girl. On Meister’s damp hair, Reilly first sprayed root lifter and keratin heat protectant spray to give lift and volume at the roots to her fine hair, then blew her out using the H2PRO 2500 Ultra Light Dryer. Next, she clipped in hair extensions and used a 1/2 inch and 1 1/2 inch curling iron to curl the hair.  “I took random sections and curled the hair in all different directions from the roots to the ends, avoiding a patterned look. I then took the H2PRO BLACK ONYX styling iron (the pro’s fave!) and flattened the ends of the hair (the last 1.5 inches), so that the curls were not tightly formed, but the hair looked stringier.  Then, I used the 2500 dryer and pulled the roots to give extra lift and volume, but without using the diffuser. Last I lightly sprayed her hair before placing the bridal veil over.”

Serena’s ’60s Inspired Bridemaid:  “It’s kind of a French twist gone loose,” says Jennifer Johnson, department head of hair on GG. “Usually with a French twist, you put their hair up, but for this twist, we let the hair down.” First she washed her hair and then blew it out using a super big round brush, volumizing spray, and the H2PRO 2500 Nano Hi Tech Ultra Light Dryer.  After blowing it completely dry, she teased her hair by backcombing it using a Mason Pearson brush from the roots to midway down the hair, creating volume and height. She then smoothed the hair and twisted it at the nape, securing the twist with bobby pins, leaving the ponytail hanging in back. I then finished the hair by flat ironing a few select strands of the ponytail using the H2PRO BLACK ONYX styling iron. It’s a very modern 60’s inspired look.”  The last step involved placing a feathered headband into her hair to give it a bridal look.

Georgina’s Glam Guest Style: Johnson blew out her hair using the H2PRO 2500 Nano Hi Tech Ultra Light Dryer. Hair was styled with a strong center part and then flat ironed with the H2PRO BLACK ONYX styling iron, pulling hair back into a loose, messy bun; it was finished with a very large hat.
